Cadets ready for their transformation through Global Leadership Programme 2024-25
The WHY of Transformation
Riding on the success of the last cohort, the Global Leadership Programme (GLP) continues to develop our students into Future Global Leaders in 2024-25.
GLP aims to equip students, the cadet global leaders, with a global mindset and problem-solving skills essential for addressing contemporary global issues. Through GLP, cadet global leaders will broaden their horizons, develop essential skills for a competitive job market, cultivate cross-cultural competencies, and make a meaningful impact in their communities.
The all-round development of cadet global leaders will be supported by various training on 4 main areas, including sustainability, diversity & inclusion, aging population, and poverty. Winning teams and cadet global leaders will receive overseas summer internship opportunities, empowering them to materialize their project proposals and shape a better future.
Enjoy the Process
The meaningful experiential learning journey started with the Launch Ceremony where 20 cadet global leaders first met and engaged with their mentors.
The Launch Ceremony was followed by the Global Perspectives Workshop which was the first training for cadet global leaders. Participants tried their hands in an interactive SDG simulation game led by professional coaches and gained invaluable insights into global issues which facilitated their competition projects.
In 8 months, 20 Cadet Global Leaders will receive training and coaching on global issues, such as cultural sensitivity, adventure-based training camp and global perspectives workshop. Besides, participants will gain life-changing insights from experienced industry leaders through mentorship, join an exciting overseas exploration tour, and collaborate with their teams to transform innovative ideas into solutions for global challenges.

Celebrating Diversity
70% of the Cadet Global Leaders are UG Year 1 & Year 2 students, and 10% are non-local students. Cadet global leaders from Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, and Vietnam, form diverse teams. Each team is comprised of students from diverse disciplines and backgrounds, including Arts, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Law, Medicine, Science, and Social Sciences.
Cadet Global Leaders are excited about joining the Adventure-based Training Camp, Japan Career Exploration Tour, and workshops on Entrepreneur Training and Cultural Sensitivity in February and March. It is anticipated that this group of cadet global leaders will shine on the big day – Final Presentation & Award Ceremony in April, where they will come up with ideas to address global issues in the 4 main areas: Sustainability, Diversity & Inclusion, Poverty and Ageing Population.
