Global Internship Programme 2025

Global Internship Programme (GIP) aims at offering students’ opportunities to work in cities of Mainland China and around the world, such as Beijing, Berlin, Brussels, Cape Town, Chengdu, Dubai, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, London, New York City, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, Vancouver. Through internships of a minimum of four weeks, students will not only enhance their language and interpersonal skills while gaining valuable workplace exposure. They would also broaden their horizons that are conducive to their personal growth and career development.

Financing Your Trip – Scholarships

If you are seeking financial support for your internship, consider applying for the Reaching Out Award (ROA) (HK$10,000) through your college (UG) or graduate school (PG). As each college or unit has its own selection criteria and application deadlines for the ROA, make sure to check with the respective parties for the latest information during the application period.

Additional scholarship opportunities are provided through the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid (OAFA) /Office of Academic Links (OAL), college, or academic programmes, such as Whole-person Development Scholarships or other awards for offshore engagements.

Please be reminded again that each college or unit has its own selection criteria and application deadlines. Applicants should check with the respective parties for the latest information during the application period. Be mindful that an earlier deadline may be set by the relevant units, typically around the closing of Semester 1 or the beginning of Semester 2. Therefore, we encourage you to submit your application early, even if you are still in the process of confirming your placement.
