” Being a campus recruitment ambassador at CPDC is rewarding and fruitful as it is one of the best ways to contribute and shine at CUHK.

When I served as an ambassador at the Thanksgiving Reception, it opened up the gate for me to mingle and network with the long-serving mentors, coaches and trainers. Fortunately, I am still keeping in touch with the seniors I mingled with and blessed with their coaching on my career planning.

During the Careers Fair 2024, I served as an MC at the Opening Ceremony. Hearing my voice echoed around YIA and receiving compliments and recognition from staff and recruiters after the event gave me confidence in public speaking. All these experiences sharpened my public speaking skills and equipped me with the ability and courage to give improvised speeches.

Being a campus recruitment ambassador offers me the chance to contribute and shine through active participation. Thank you CPDC! “

“Securing a role as a campus recruitment ambassador was my first significant step into the professional world, providing me with the opportunity to engage with HR and company employees from a unique vantage point. The moment I was selected to be the MC for a campus talk by Goldman Sachs, I realized that this role was not just a title; it was a responsibility to represent my university in the best possible light. This experience underscored the importance of our role in fostering strong connections between our university and the corporate world.

Since then, I have had the privilege of engaging closely with managers, CEOs, and other influential leaders, gaining invaluable insights from their experiences. These interactions have not only broadened my understanding of various industries but have also enhanced my communication and networking skills. My role as an ambassador has allowed me to act as a bridge between CUHK and the corporate sector, facilitating meaningful exchanges and opportunities for both parties. This journey has been transformative, equipping me with the knowledge and confidence to excel in my future career endeavours.”

Being the Campus Recruitment Ambassador, I had the opportunity to attend various campus recruitment events, including seminars, networking events, and receptions organized by CPDC. These events provided opportunities for me to connect with recruiters, industry experts, and company representatives.

“Networking is not about just connecting people. It’s about connecting people with people, people with ideas, and people with opportunities.” Networking as a Campus Recruitment Ambassador provided me with first-hand insights into the industry and market, and the opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals. It also allowed me to practice and hone my networking and presentation skills. Moreover, I bonded with other ambassadors who shared similar values and goals, which was crucial for my career planning and development during my university career.
